Benefits

Further post-graduate training allows development of theoretical knowledge of sports nutrition as well as opportunities to gain practical experience in the application of sports nutrition for Sports Dietitians.

These courses will provide some of the competencies required for Sports Dietitians to be registered on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr)

PgCert / Msc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Coventry University

The PgCert in Sports and Exercise Nutrition provides students with the opportunity to acquire an evidence based approach to the understanding and application of the science of nutrition in order to promote exercise and sport performance.  The course has been designed with the input of SDUK (Sports Dietitians UK) and comprises of three masters level modules.  The course has been designed to cater for the needs of the working dietitian  / nutritionist  as taught sessions occur part time, over 4 weekends (based in Coventry), with the remaining content being delivered on-line. Following successful completion of the PgCert students are eligible to continue their studies and enrol on a master’s programme* (to achieve a MSc Sports & Exercise Nutrition).

* Students can progress to the masters course immediately following the successful completion of the PgCErt or alternatively have a break in studies and return to the course subject to course and university regulations.
